Homemade Tzatziki

There's not too many sauces or dips I like more than home made tzatziki. It's so fresh and summery tasting and it goes with so many dishes it's crazy or just as a simple dip for crackers or bread. I've been known to buy store bought but I usually find them too salty and processed tasting.

Tzatziki is actually super easy to make. So take a few minutes and make the real deal.

Makes 3 cups

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups full-fat plain Greek yogurt

4 garlic cloves, peeled and minced

1 large cucumber, seeded and grated or finely diced (about 1 cup)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill (not dried dill)

1-2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice, to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon sea salt

1/4 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper

DIRECTIONS:

Stir all ingredients together until combined. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately, or refrigerate in a sealed container for up to 2 days.
