Microwave Poached Eggs


I love eggs poached and pretty much any way you can think of. These microwave poached eggs are amazingly fast and pretty much idiot proof. This is a good thing yes? The world has had enough of over cooked poached eggs. Well my world has anyways. I doubted this kitchen hack when I first saw it but I'm here to tell you it works!

Throw in some home grown tomatoes, hash browns and toast and there's a delicious and easy breakfast or even dinner!

INGREDIENTS:


1 large egg


1⁄8 teaspoon white vinegar


1⁄3 cup water


salt and pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

Add the water and white vinegar to a 6 ounce custard or coffee cup.

Break egg into cup, pierce egg yolk with toothpick, and cover dish loosely with plastic wrap or place a small plate on top. 

Place in microwave and cook for 1 minute or until desired doneness.

You may need to experiment with cooking times based on the wattage of your microwave and taste preference.

Immediately remove egg from hot water with a slotted spoon as it will continue to cook.

Serve with salt and pepper to taste.
