Amazing Bread Machine Dough

This amazing bread machine dough is super simple. You can make it in the machine as well but my preference is to mix and rise once in the machine and then do the second rise in the pan and then bake it in the oven. I just love that crusty exterior that you don’t quite get in a machine.



INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 1⁄4 cups warm water (105-115 degrees)

  • 2 teaspoons butter, unsalted

  • 3 cups white flour

  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 1⁄2 tablespoons milk powder

  • 2 teaspoons yeast


INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. For machine bake: Add ingredients to bread machine in order given, bake.

  2. For a traditional loaf: Use the dough cyle, then shape dough into a loaf, place in bread pan sprayed with Pam.

  3. Cover with a cloth or spray a piece of plastic wrap and cover.

  4. Let rise until doubled. Time will depend on the warmth of your kitchen, 33-45 minutes.



5. Bake 30-40 min's at 350.


6. For brown bread, use 2 cups white and 1 cup whole wheat flour.

Note: The pretty blue bread pan is from the Jamie Oliver line. I purchased them on Amazon and they are the best pans I’ve ever used, hands down. And did I mention it was pretty? 😍
