This copycat version homemade Bisquick mix Is a lifesaver. Because we’ve all been there. You’re in the mood for warm biscuits slathered with butter and when you check your pantry you have maybe one cup left. So you head for the wine and say screw it, they can eat kraft dinner.

With just four ingredients this one is a game changer.


  • 4 cups flour

  • 2 Tbsp baking powder

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 3/4 cup shortening


1. Whisk together the flour, baking soda and salt.

2. Cut in shortening until crumbly.

3. Store leftovers in airtight container in a cool, dry container. For longer storage, store in the refrigerator or freezer.
